Plus Byelorussia which was a member since 24 October 1945 giving the USSR three UN votes, also the USSR had indirect (but very effective) control of the votes of the East European countries which were assigned to the Soviet 'sphere of influence' under the post-Yalta division of Europe: Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Poland, Rumania. Yugoslavia was the joker in the pack and was sometimes allowed to vote independently of the main Warsaw Pact block. That means (if I've not left anybody out) that the USSR controlled 9 and sometimes 10 UN votes.
