Last December, there was a posting about a book auction which included some books and ephemera by AR. In case anyone is interested in the prices realised:

Lot 41 Original manuscript of Blue Treacle - not sold (the estimate was £8,000 – 12,000)

Lot 43 Collingwood family letters to AR - £620

Lot 47 Six Weeks in Russia, 1st Edn, 1919 - £180

Lot 48 Old Peter’s Russian Tales, 2 vols, each inscribed by AR to his daughter Tabitha - £230

Lot 49 Aladdin, 1919 - £120

Lot 50 AR self-portrait - £430

Lot 51 One of AR’s pocket sketchbooks - £1,100

Lot 52 Christmas card sent by AR - £80

Lot 53 Autobiographical memoir by Tabitha Ransome - £520.

The auctioneer was Dominic Winter Book Auctions, and for the full list of items and full descriptions, I’ll repeat the link:

At a separate auction last November, a 1st Edn Winter Holiday, with ‘pieces of the jacket torn away at the spine but otherwise a very good copy’ was sold for £1,000.
