And the magic thereof:
A couple of years ago Andrew Craig-Bennett gave me a copy of Maurice Griffiths book, "The Magic of the Swatchways" for which I again thank him. When I picked it up yesterday I realized that I hadn't finished it.
I had three more chapters (or vignettes) left.
One of these described a cruise from the Orwell to Flushing much reminiscent of WDMTGTS except that it was written earlier.
The last chapter ends with the author and his wife standing on the hard at Horsey Island at what was to become the Swallows camp in SW.
I know many of you will be familiar with this book but if you don't know it I heartily recommend you seek it out.
I also would like to know how well AR knew MG which information I'm sure someone here has at their finger tips.
