I am very sad to hear this news. I met Pauline when she was helping at the Calvert Trust, an adventure centre for handicapped children, in the early 80's, I think. She took our children sailing, and during the course of conversation she told me she was an original Amazon. "We saw him first!" were her words.
So I can proudly claim to have sailed with one of the Amazons!
The world is a poorer place without her.
