Well said Adam. I have learnt an enormous amount by listening to
initially incomprehensible pub conversations and then gradually
picking up the thread with the help of one or two carefully framed
questions. In a similar manner when I first read the S&A series
a large number of the nautical terms flew right over my head, but
with perserverence and the help Knight's Small Boat Sailing
all became clear in the end. TarBoard at its best is educational.
Long may it may remain so.
The problem is that we all come to Ransome with a different
set of experiences and other interests.
Absolutely, but it's not a problem. It's a the feature that makes
TarBoard so enjoyable. Vive la difference!
