Thanks for posting up the full 7.8mbs! That was interesting.
Interesting dispute over the details concerning the 'true' Amazon. Maybe the one Pauline played in wasn't the same one that the Altounyans used. (Mavis I believe it was called.)
Turning to the series extract, it does sound terribly dated to modern ears, rather middle-class in a Blue Peter sort of way! (To our overseas friends, Blue Peter is a childrens TV programme that has a reputation for being very clean cut.) I couldn't remember the Susan character at all, 40 years ago she didn't impress me with her 'bossiness', so the face didn't stick! The others were as I remembered them, though I remember Peggy as being less fey than she appears in the clip.
Watching the serial was one of my formative experiences and if it ever becomes available I would buy a copy for old times sake. I was quite sad when I read in Brogan's biography of AR, that he was not happy with cast or crew durring the filming. Authors are often dismayed at the way film crews handle their works and I suppose he was getting old and crotchety by then.
Thanks again for the link. Where is it going to go to when the days have passed? Can it be held or not, for copyright reasons?

Andy.
