Well what do you think AR's moral framework(s) was/were? Not charging for toffee? Easy to praise, especially if you are a toffee taker rather than a toffee giver. If you want a moral framework built on the virtue of hospitality try Thesiger's "Arabian Sands", I think an ethic based on sharing scraps of meat charred on a desert campfire would have appealed to the S & A.
