I second this--I have four children, and am in the process of bringing them up much the way my own parents raised my sisters and me. Certainly with many of the same values the Swallows show, and with schedules & expectations of good behavior inside & outside the family setting. I never thought about any other way, either. But I believe that the downgrading of our behavior to one another is one of the greatest mishaps humans have taken, and will eventually spell doom for our race.
