It was, or should have been, Owen Dudley Edwards, the Irish literary historian, who is a recognised expert on Oscar Wilde. I did not hear his talk but I wish I could have done. Dr Edwards is better known to me as a Conan Doyle expert, and in particular on Sherlock Holmes.
