Mr. Ransome's drawings are one of the most wonderful parts of the books. Imagine "Alice in Wonderland" with someone elses illustrations. They are "Classic" and timeless and should/could have seen more use in the "new" website (but, then, I didn't design it). They are not "polished" and "slick" like so many children's book illustrations are now, but very delightfully convey the essence of the stories. Maybe that was why they were not included.

By the way, one of the great aspects of TarBoard is the little side trips (don't we all make little side trips off the main road when we go somewhere - that is what keeps life interesting!) that are made centering on Mr. Ransome's books - even though they seem to wander, they do circle around and eventurally back to the primary subject - even the controversies, it just proves that TarBoard folks have strong minds - no wishy washy here!!!!

TarBoard is one of the highlights of my day!
