There is a reason that plastic boats and gliders are usually white.
In hot climates, any other colour causes the structure to get too hot, and approach the temperature at which the epoxy or polyester loses considerable strength.
This may not be a problem in UK as the high latitude reduces the intensity of the sun's radiation, but the boats are probably built as a standard design, suitable for use anywhere in the World, so have to be able to cope with near-tropical sun intensity. (A boat, built for initial use in UK, may be sold to a new owner in a much hotter country)
