Not touchy at all. It's just the way it is. You'd expect the Amazons to understand Jacky perfectly (and vice versa) but not to speak the same. And to a great extent, it's still true now. AR was a good observer of these things- in fact his time spent in Russia, in a completely different society, probably helped him see it even more clearly.

But then, when I was doing a job in the USA five years ago, it was just as true in Tennessee.
