I just thought I should mention that Fidra Books (who are republishing the works of Elinor Lyon) and the Old Children's Bookshelf are organizing a conference in Edinburgh 22-24 June. Elinor Lyon herself will be speaking at the conference - and her RUN AWAY HOME will be republished that weekend. At £10 a go I think hey're well worth buying! Owen Dudley Edwards is also speaking, Kirstie Taylor (a TAR) is organizing a children's book walk around the Old Town - and there are lots of other things too - including me on Olivia Fitz Roy
