Help for an ignorant American, please
In WH, at the beginning of Chapter IX Quarantine (p111, your pagination may vary) John says “It’s lucky it’s not the football term . . . a month might make just the difference about getting into the fifteen.”
I take it this would not be “American Football.” But is it English football [American soccer], or Rugby?
Would the fall school term be the football term?
What is the fifteen?
It is nice to see John has other interests!
Hopefully some Tarboarders do too!
