Well come to New Zealand (and I think Canada?) where the 50 year (after author’s death) rule still applies!

But it is 70 (or 50) years after:
The end of the calendar year in which the author died
so for AR it will be to 1 January 2038 (or 2018) NB: Australia went to 70 years recently.

AR’s early works published before up to 1923 are out of copyright in America, and some are on Project Gutemberg (Old Peter’s Russian Tales, The Crisis in Russia & Russia in 1919). .

Offhand I think there may be special rules in Britain for performances of “Peter Pan”. And the comic operas of Gilbert & Sullivan were suggested as needing special protection.
