I wonder what senior TarBoardista's remember clearly about their schools days. Although I remember quite a few details of lessons at my secondary school, most of my memories of my primary school days are of playtime: the sun always shone, there was a magnificent climbing frame (long since dismantled because of safety concerns), a flower bed on which we used to fight WW I battles with minature soldiers, model racing cars filled with plasticine to make them go further, tanks made of cotton reels...

AR wrote somewhere that for a child a tree is more important than a book. Mr Blair evidently disagrees. His latest project is for a school ('city academy' he calls it) WITHOUT a playground.
