IIRC the first Peter H TarBoard analogy that was St TarBoard's, a boarding school run on strict disciplinarian grounds, a cyber St Trinian's. After we gave St TarBoard's a thorough thrashing, Peter came up with a new analogy, The TarBoard Arms, which I saw as a nested metaphor with TTA representing The Bull and fellow TarBoardistas the rest of the motley crew of Ambridge. But now after the recent shunt of the naughty messages by Ian, the proverbial lump of coal has dropped.

... might best be described as a "firm but fair" leader... Every time He does not stand for any nonsense, but he is also forgiving... he is willing to allow them a second chance if they are truly sorry.

He is also quite perceptive and shrewd, and is not above using elaborate schemes to get to the bottom of a problem...

He is nostalgic, and the way he runs his ... recalls the better elements of the days of...
