Bald-headed barque: bald-headed means she carried only topgallants, no royals; though as I recall, Pommern carried split topsails and topgallants. Barque refers to her rig, rather than her (coloquially speaking) ship-ness, and means she stepped at least three masts, all but the aft-most mast being square-rigged, the last mast being fore-and-aft rigged. A ship rig would be at least three masts, all square-rigged.
