The Wasa is now in a dry, purpose-built museum in Stockholm. Very interesting museum with much material removed from the inside during excavation and preservation which gives a good idea of the tough life the sailors led.
The whole preservation thing was fascinating. I used to work for a Swedish company, and visited Stockholm on a number of occasions over the years while the preservation was continuing. Certainly she was initially in a shed at the waters' edge and was being continuously showered with a solution of glycol to allow that material to replace the water in her timbers without allowing them to dry out. That process took many years, during which restoration of some of the carvings which had decorated her continued. All finally came together in the new museum about ten to fifteen years ago from memory.
