Well, it is as far as I am concerned. We stayed at "Holly Howe" (a.k.a. Bank Ground Farm) twice, and on the first trip, as soon as we had tromped through the cottage & chosen beds, we went immediately to the boathouse at the edge of the lake. Walking down that same slope brought Roger's goose-winged sailing to mind right away, and we all had a turn at testing it out. No matter that the "Peak in Darien" is at another place in "real" life: we all know that Ransome picked & chose from his experiences to create a landscape capable of supporting the best of all storybooks!
