Temple Bar magazine also contains Violet Needham's first-known short story, a romance called Marion, published in around 1903. She later (much much later, some 30+ years) went on to write such Ruritanian children's books as THE BLACK RIDERS and THE EMERALD CROWN. Have got some notes about the history of Temple Bar magazine and will dig them out.
