Real. Hybrid or Generic? (was Bank Ground Webcam)

I doubt there will ever be a definitive identification of Swallowdale, I don't agree with those that say Wild Cat Island is exactly Peel Island. Nowhere will you see a house that has both the plumbing and the grounds that Beckfoot has.
However, many aspects of these creations can be found in real locations.

Having poked around a few of these locations I have, somewhat reluctantly, come round to this view myself. Many of AR's locations around 'the Lake in the North" are a subtle amalgam of two (or perhaps more!) real places. Others have a one to one correspondence with actual locations - Rio and Slater Bob's mine immediately spring to mind. For those who enjoy this sort of detective work, sorting all of this out is a real challenge!

Re. Swallowdale, didn't a TARS expedition find a very convincing Swallowdale complete with a perfect Peter Duck's cave about a year or so ago?
