This is because the Ransome Literary Executors refused permission for AR drawings to appear on the new TARS Website. The Arthur Ransome Society has to comply with this. The Copyright etc Act 1988 does exist and can be enforced. Jock may be right in thinking that temporary reproduction on TarBoard will be exempt from the Act - I'd prefer not to comment personally! I do not know whether the Lit Execs are aware of what goes on on TarBoard . . . . .
