I came across a book lately, that while not SA or about them, will probably be enjoyed by most of us. The book is well-writtenm and there are at least 4 in the series.
HIS MAJESTY'S DRAGON, by Naomi Novik. Imagine the Napoleonic wars. Now, add a Royal Aeronautic Corps made up of dragons, and a somewhat reluctant frigate captain turned dragoneer.
Certainly Roger would approve.
