I just tried to access the "old" TARS website at "archive.arthur-ransome.org" (the link to this was provided by Peter H back on June 29). Now it requires authorization in the form of a userid and password to get into the site, which it certainly didn't when I went to it last time.

I have no idea what is going on - why on earth would that site suddenly have resricted access?

In any case, someone else posted a link to a different URL for a copy of the old TARS website - could that link be reposted please on this thread, or sent to me via e-mail? I am trying to research something which I recall as being talked about in the literary pages.
