Apologies to Jim and everyone else for my ignorance about Uffa Fox - but the Prince Charles bit is what appears on the LP. Apologies too to Peter for hius link to the right little island which is indeed pretty well the version that Uffa Fox sings.

His entry by Edward Heath in the new Dictionary of National Biography (presumably the former Prime Minister) describes him as "naval architect and boat builder" and says his father was a carpenter on Queen Victoria's Osborne House in the Isle of Wight). It refers to his ebullient nature which led him to burst into shanties at dinner parties.
