I have made an extract of all the entries for AR recordings from the British Library
Sound Archive Catalogue and posted it on the If Not Duffers... website. (See copyright
notice.)
From this extract I have made a number of tentative deductions:
i) some of the material in the TARS Library e.g. The Soldier and Death is in the
BBC's own archives, but is not in the British Library Sound Archives,
ii) Some of the material in the British Library Sound Archives e.g. AR reading an
extract of Swallows and Amazons is not in the TARS library.
Clearly, plenty of scope for further research and acquisition.
(Note to all budding research students. The main British Library search engine does
not search the Sound Archive catalogue. The Sound Archive search engine does not
search the main British Library catalogue or other electronic repositories. I have
excluded, as far as I was able, material authored by AR but read by third parties.)
