After the kerfuffle about first floor and ground floor, it might be
useful just to confirm that we all mean the same by front and back.
SD shows the long axis of Beckfoot running North-South. The East
side of the house facing the lawn and river is the BACK and the
West side facing the road, or drive, is the FRONT.
