In addition to my previous post. It's worth pointing out that the term "toffs" was first used by Peter H himself in his post 28792 albeit in negation. There seems to be an overriding desire on TarBoard to show that the Blacketts/Turners were rich toffs served by downtrodden serfs. I have never read anything so ridiculous.
Given Prue's and my recent clarifications (posts 28811 and 28808), it is clear that no one is currently putting forward the theory on TarBoard that the Blackett household is upper class. I conclude that the introduction of the word "Toffs" is a deliberate Aunt Sally designed to score easy debating points.
