Having moved to Texas about 5 years ago, death penalty etc

These are a people who are exceedingly polite to each other and use the old fashioned greetings. One drops into the habit quite quickly.

Yet when I visit Australia I get no end of comment about being to polite and respectful.

Yet deep down the Texans still have the larrikin element shown by Roger.

Manners change and what is expected changes, we can not worry to much about the past and the manners, as long as there is a Roger around.

Long live 13 year old boys and girls with a sense of humour and no respect for authority other than the natural avoidance of being caned.
