Wouldn't Atkinson's Farm have also been a likely candidate? That was, after all, the first proposed base for the SADMC; surely if the options were a tenant farmer and a totally separate operation, the tenant farmer would have been the preferred option, all else being even approximately equal. And if they were initially choosing potential campsites based on a map, the Tysons' orchard wouldn't have been an obvious choice while the head of the beck would have been at least as desirable as Atkinsons' farm.
