It was a joke! But it is also true that Mrs T upsets Susan who is, generally speaking, very articulate when dealing with adults.
Frankly she should never have allowed herelf to be over-ruled by Nancy and let the children camp at all. But then there woul dhave been no pigeon post and no Carnegie.
