The problem with 70 years is that it is another step on the way to becoming true Europeans accepting that carrots are really a fruit (so that the Portuguese can continue to make carrot jam), that frogs and snails are fish (so that such producers can benefit from EU grants to fisheries), and that the sea shanty is now "from Ushant to Scilly 'tis 194 kms". Have rounded this measurement up from 194.46km so that it can still be sung with a little gusto.
I'd much rather that while the Ransome literary executors still have some control over what happens to the books that abridged editions, graphic novels, cartoons and even full-scale London musicals went forward with their input.
