Bank Ground is a wonderful old property and, apart from the AR connections, is in a beautiful location. Over the years (though less more recently) I've had many enjoyable holidays both in the B&B and in the self catering. It was always interesting to talk to Lucy.
I must admit though to a preference for the bedrooms when they were a bit more rough and ready. It lost a bit of the magic when most of the rooms went en-suite with all of the soft furnishings that so many places seem to insist on these days. I suppose that's what many punters want and you can charge more £££s but to my mind it moves away from what it was originally - ie an old farm house, not a hotel.
