I wouldn't say you are. I don't know how old you are but I know plenty of people in their twenties who wish to rip whoever wrote the film version of The Dark is Rising into small squirming pieces. Personally I favour then torturing the pieces...
I was also quite amused to find that the TV version of The Saddle Club (an American series) is set in Australia. Although again the plot seems to have been mangled.
