With the price of gold at its present level I am not surprised that the Spanish are trying to protect their lost treasure. Will the governments of Bolivia or Peru now join in on the basis that the treasure was looted from them in the first place?

I wonder who owned Crab Island? Did Captain Flint declare the treasure to Customs when the Wild Cat returned to Lowestoft? If so what would the rate of duty be nowadays? What is the law about looting buried treaure from an uninhabited island?
