Really? Hmm. Where did you see that?

Odd of me to be saying, since I was a film major in college and enjoy imagining what a S&A film would look like, but I'm not sure I'm totally for the idea of translating the books into film. I know it's a trend these days, what with the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter films (even Narnia & Lemony Snicket), and I'm not saying a film adaptation could be popular and add a few more to our S&A-loving ranks, but... isn't one of the things that makes the books so much fun to read is that we can picture it on our own?

It's always a struggle for me, because I love books AND I love movies. But at what point do film adaptations just end up taking away from the magic of the books?

Pretty prejudiced of me to say, anyway, since I haven't even seen the other S&A TV/film adaptations for fear of being disappointed. Oh, well.

Oh, and a side note -- Hey Eric! Nice to see another S&A fan here in landlocked Kansas!
