TARS visited the quay as part of a tour to Secret Water during the AGM held at the Royal Hospital School, Holbrook.

We occasionally go there by dinghy when we visit Secret Water, but you have to be careful - there is an electricity wire which is too low to sail under.

The atmosphere is just right, but a major part the staithe itself is of stone, beyond the collapsing piling as described by AR, and the only building in the vicinity is a stone store (described by the County Council as a 'limekiln', but it doesn't look like one), recently restored, with the notice saying it was built from the stones of Old London Bridge, but this is now almost illegible. The farm is a hundred yards away and the nearest buildings to the quay are typical huge agribusiness structures. No cows and no cowman that I could see.

There are several quite good articles about Beaumont Quay on Google.
