Having now looked at it on Google Earth (51 52 18.32N, 1 10 48.32E) it is clear that the limekiln is east if the barn - and I have never noticed it when I have visited the place. Also the piling extends along a much greater part of the water frontage than the stone quay.

When you actually visit it by boat the stone quay dominates and you hardly notice the piling.
