I'm definitely a Georgette Heyer fan (both the mysteries and the period-piece historicals - what strongly catches me in both cases is the dialog). And I admit to being a Hornblower fan, but not (at least so far) an O'Brian fan. For some reason the O'Brian books simply don't hold my interest; I'm really not sure exactly why.
