In the UK generally one graduates from University not from School. Generally, depending on what one had got up to the night before (eg hanging an effigy of the headmaster from a high and visible point in the school), one was happy to leave in a hurry.
If one had a good form master, he might invite you the pub for a drink.
I am not sure what the US or other education systems are like, but in the UK exam results came out some time after the term had ended.
