Did we? I seem to remember that, ever so long ago, we reached a sort of consensus that it was a Morris Cowley 4 seater, from 1924. I just had a look; this seems fairly right, based on the only detailed picture I know of Rattletrap (complete with added GA) in PM, p.266, JC 1948, and the neo-Rattletraps illustrated on the Bullnose Morris club website.

By the time the stories were set, in the early 1930s, the car would have had time to develop a few rattles. By the time AR wrote them, in the later '30s, it would have fairly composted down...

We're not talking blueprint accuracy here, but when AR drew Rattletrap I reckon that's the one he had in his mind's eye.
