Time for another plug. Amazon Publications' The Best of Childhood prints a selection of the correspondence behind AR's writing of ML - and all the rest of the Twelve.
It's available from the TARS Stall, but only to TARS members, of course.
Amazon have also published Ransome in China 1927 which covers his visit to China for the Manchester Guardian, and that provided a lot of his background material for ML.
