I always thought that most of the stuff they were "dumping into the boat" would have been camping supplies arrnaged locally by Cmdr Walker rather than brought by the Amazons from the North, which makes a lot more sense. Why drag along tents, bedding, etc. if it could be arranged locally? (Ditto the dinghy of course.)
