Thanks Jock, I was just pondering how I was going to answer that! As for the raising up, this was in the early 1980s and before and after pictures are in Peter Ford's book 'Tendring Peninsula Land of Milk and Hunnye'. Vista Avenue is an unmade road that runs parallel with part of Quay Lane to the East.
