Food is nice here, but I am avoiding the fresh uncooked stuff.
I think that messing about is something one did in boats. Although I had a friend who used to take his wife sailing, drop all the sails and drift for a while. Dad always said stay away if the sails are dropped and they are not anchored. Never asked why.
Does skinny dipping with a young lady count as part messing about?
