1. I'm glad to learn that we are basically at one over matters to
do with Cecil Sharp, cheese cloth, and the raunchier traditions of the
British Navy.
2.As a footnote to a footnote: on 21st July 1930, the day Swallows
and Amazons was published and Malcom Muggeridge's review
appeared in the Manchester Guardian there was a scholarly review in
the Guardian of a book on folklore. It was signed AR.
