Buttered eggs – the analysis.
Ed Kiser has kindly sent to me a long listing for the buttered eggs occurrences in the 12 books. This is a summary.
Nowhere does Susan actually cook buttered eggs by herself. But she does jointly with Peggy in GN Ch 15.
Susan does cook boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, poached eggs (again with Peggy in GN) and in ML curried eggs. Susan usually cooks scrambled eggs.
The principle cooker of buttered eggs is Dorothea in PM, both on the houseboat and in the Dogs Home. Mrs McGinty in CC also cooks them.

I would suggest that as the buttered eggs are prepared in less than fully equipped kitchens, there are prepared liked scrambled eggs but adding milk and more butter to the mixture. This would restrict cooking to one pan.
