At least the AR Children are not as insufferable as Emma and her father. Emma shows distinct prejudice, even within the same class - as perceived by an outsider, me - based purely on income. If I felt inferior to people who earned more I do, then I would be a very sad human bean and vice versa.

Interestingly, Strunk's rule is to add the implied verb, so I had originally typed "more than I", and then without really thinking about it till later went and corrected to add the "do".

One of my long suffering friends in Australia told me last week that my Englsh was improving.

The other interesting thing, is I have always used till, and I thought I picked that up from AR. yet, this word, till, drives a number of people I know crazy with anxiety that it should be until. Who is correct and am I correct in assuming AR used till?

JMN
