Re the misunderstanding over Timothy or Squashy Hat in PP, AR has several similar misunderstandings and changes in relationships: in SA the Swallows think the Amazons and CF are enemies; in SW the Eels; and in GF they ally with the McGinty at the end to rescue the eggs.
